safeTALK is a half-day workshop designed to equip participants with the skills to recognise individuals who may be at risk of suicide and connect them with life-saving resources. It empowers people to break the stigma surrounding suicide, fostering a safer and more supportive community.
This year, Without Fear proudly funded 100% of the training for 30 individuals to attend safeTALK workshops. By doing so, we aimed to expand the network of people ready to have courageous conversations and provide vital support when it’s needed most. Together, we're building a community that chooses action over silence.
Since it all began we have given away all profits to projects, groups and events that benefit the mental health of the community.
EXAMPLES OF OUR IMPACT
We funded 15 people through the 8 week course developing life skills, community and wellbeing.
We ran a mental health round in collaboration with the NMCA to raise awareness for mental health.
We were a major sponsor of a walker in the Menslink Great Walk, helping raise $30k and helped young men to receive much needed support.
We are a major sponsor of the junior program, specifically supporting young people in taking the field without fear.
